Sabine of the Ten Rings

Sabine of the Ten Rings is my action-packed parody of the fantasy genre, poking fun at and paying homage to some of my favorite stories. Sabine was once a habitually kidnapped princess, ransomed ten different times by the evil, reincarnating warlock Dahkhal. Each time she was rescued from her bondage she married her rescuer, and upon each of Dahkhal's returns he slaughtered her latest beloved. On his eleventh kidnapping attempt, Sabine laid a trap, defeated Dahkhal, and trapped his soul in the body of an immortal jellyfish sealed in one of her wedding rings. However, fueling such a powerful spell required a grave sacrifice- her title as a princess.

Struggling to make ends meet, Sabine ultimately took up jobs as a hard-drinking mercenary to pay the bills. With Dahkhal resigned to his fate and offering telepathic advice, her increasingly deranged adventures will pit her against charlatans, mystics, wicked gods, and the conventions of storytelling itself!

The early run of stories were all hosted on my friend Jeremiah Cook's website, New Pulp Tales, where they will remain. Here are the links in storyline order:
